1 Introduction

With the following data protection information, we would like to inform you about the type of your personal data (hereinafter also referred to as "data") that we process on our website, for what purpose and to what extent.

3 Data Processing Operations

In the following, we would like to show you in detail what processing takes place:

3.1 Server-Log-Files

Wenn Sie unsere Webseite besuchen, ist es technisch notwendig das bestimmte Daten verarbeitet werden, wie Ihre IP-Adresse, um unsere Webseite aufrufen zu können. Bei jedem Zugriff auf die Internetpräsenz werden Protokolle zu statistischen Zwecken erstellt und verarbeitet:

  • Referrer (page from whose link you reached this website)
  • Search terms (for search engines as referrer)
  • IP address is evaluated to determine the country of origin and the provider and is stored for spam protection reasons in the case of form entries.
  • Browser, operating system, installed plug-ins and screen resolution
  • Time spent on the pages

The aforementioned data is processed by us on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f) GDPR for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection of the Internet presence,
  • guaranteeing system security and stability as well as
  • system integrity.

Our legitimate interest lies in offering you an appealing external presentation via our website and in maintaining our system protection.

We reserve the right to check this data retrospectively if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use. The data is deleted immediately if it is no longer required to achieve the purpose, but at the latest after 7 days.

The data is processed by our hosting service provider net.de AG, Büttnerstraße 57, D-30165 Hannover, according to our instructions. We have concluded an data processing agreement with this service provider.

Right of objection:

You can object to the processing operations based on legitimate interest. To exercise your right to object, please contact the following e-mail address: info@de.ks-lbp.com.

You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide the data. However, failure to pro-vide the data may result in you not being able to use the service or not being able to use it to its full extent.

No automated decision-making takes place and no profiles are created from the data (so-called profiling). 

3.2 Contact us

You have the option of contacting us by telephone, post or e-mail. If you contact us, the information or data you provide will be processed to the extent necessary to process or respond to the contact request and any measures requested.

Depending on how you contact us, the following personal data may be processed.

  • E-mail: Your IP address, message text;
  • Phone: your phone number, call content (will not be recorded);
  • Mail: Your address (if given as sender), message text.

All messages received by e-mail or post are forwarded to the relevant mailbox. Only a limited number of authorised persons within our company have access to these mailboxes. If necessary to process your request, it may be forwarded to other departments within our company or to other companies of the Rheinmetall Group. In exceptional cases, this may also involve affiliated companies outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA). We ensure an appropriate level of data protection at the affiliated companies of the Rheinmetall Group out-side the EU/EEA in accordance with Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.

Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is based on our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR to process and respond to your enquiry appropriately. This legitimate interest also includes any necessary forwarding of your enquiry to affiliated companies of the Rheinmetall Group. If you submit an enquiry as part of a contractual or pre-contractual relationship with us, this enquiry will be processed on the basis of Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR in order to fulfil our contractual obligations or to respond to (pre-)contractual enquiries.

Your contact request (including the transmitted data) will be deleted at the latest 7 days after completion, unless there are legal retention periods or other justified reasons for further retention (e.g. assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims). In the latter cases, your data will be deleted after expiry of the applicable legal retention period (e.g. from commercial or tax law) or after the other legitimate reasons for processing no longer apply (the legal basis for further retention for these legitimate reasons is usually Art. 6 (1) f GDPR).

Special note on applications: Applications are to be submitted exclusively via our separate application/career portal. All applications received by other means will be deleted immediately.

Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR): In accordance with the legal requirements, you have the right to request information about whether and to what extent we process your personal data.

Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): In accordance with the legal requirements, you have the right to request the completion or correction of incomplete or incorrect data concerning you.

Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): In accordance with the legal requirements, you have the right to demand that your personal data be deleted without delay. Note: The immediate deletion of your data may be prevented by legal retention obligations or other justified reasons for retention.

Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR): In accordance with the legal requirements, you have the right to request a restriction of the processing of your personal data.

Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): In accordance with the legal requirements, you have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format and - if technically feasible - to request that it be transferred to another controller.

Right of objection (Art. 21 GDPR): In accordance with the legal requirements, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation, provided that the data processing is carried out for the purposes of legitimate interests (cf. Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e or lit. f GDPR).

If your personal data is processed for the purpose of direct advertising, you have the right to object to this processing for the purpose of such advertising at any time; this also applies to pro-filing, insofar as it is associated with such direct advertising.

Right to withdraw consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR): You have the right to revoke your consent at any time without giving reasons with effect for the future. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.

Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 (1) GDPR): In accordance with the legal requirements, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority of your choice, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement, if you are of the opinion that the processing of your personal data violates the GDPR.

Modifying and updating data information

We reserve the right to adapt this data protection information if changes in the legal situation or the data processing carried out by us make this necessary.

The most recently published data protection information always applies. We will inform you if any changes require your cooperation (e.g. renewed consent) or other individual notification.
